TiMe!

Yesterday, I went to Einstein exhibit in Field Museum yesterday, and I think it's AMAZING! Yeah, now I pretty much know about relativity and... time travel! Waow, do u think it's possible? Well, I've ever thought in my mind since long time ago, is it possible that d astronauts be younger than us? And actually that's 1 of d basic idea of time travelling by Einstein! In conclusion, did I have a same imagination with Einstein? :P Huhuhu... my narcism blood got high :D

Try to put... something?

Hmm, I haven't put my daily life since... really long time! School's not that bad, although I was rushed by some projects b4 finals. Finally done... Let's see: I think I did really bad in debate, lack of preparation. Still possible to get B in quarter/semester grade, though :P Physics project has gone wild! Huehehe, can't wait till our presentation. Did pretty bad in civil war test in history. How much is the weight, height & age of average army in d war? Crazy!!! Yeah, many things took my time so I can't post my blog.

BTW, I'll be d editor for 2nd Indonesian AFS newsletter! Hmm, exciting.. challenging.. hope u guys will help me to do this job well, OK?! So far, I haven't got anything yet... neither newsletter nor fund. Come on, don't wait till d last minute! Remember, your deadline is 31 JANUARY, 2004! :D

There was also a meeting for Ethnic Fair last Thursday. I'm in dance committee. Well, I still dunno if I can do Indonesian dance, coz I won't be able to do that if there're not many people doing that as a group. Hmm, there're a lot of ethnics in my school ;) But I think I'll do fashion show in Indonesian costumes for sure. Phew, I think I'm lack in promoting Indonesia to people here. I called a woman for the girl scout thing where I may teach little girls about Indonesia, but she hasn't called me back yet. I want to teach 'em some dances! :D

My daily life? Hmm, on first week of school went really cold for me, 5 F / -15 C! but I got a chance to build a snowman. Yeah! I've never been sledding, though. Hope we'll do it after d next snow comes... Have much random thoughts over my head... Nothing really exciting on weekdays, as usual. Last weekend, I had a party in my house! Actually it's my birthday party, but really late :P Cooked fried chicken succesfully, got LOTS of Bath & Body Works stuffs (LOTS of thanx, too!), Mafia game, and of course MOVIE! OK Brian, u won in convincing us to watch Office Space again :D Last night, watched ROTK for the 3rd time with Ryan. Finally u watched it! Hehehe... although with ditching CCMC :P And I've just got back b4 midnight from AFS party tonight. Always fun to meet them, but not fun not too go to movies with computer guys, too... Hmm, still can go with u all after finals, right?

I think that's enough for now... Don't forget to put comments with comment system! Sorry, it didn't work for the past few days. I fixed it, but not yet with da design. I'll work on it next week. Sorry for my random thoughts, no offense at all... and uncensored :P

My life is.... MINE!

It's just my thought these days... Maybe rude in some parts... Still doesn't need parental advisory, though :P

I dunno what I'm gonna do with my life!
Next year... I know for sure...
One year later....???
10 years later...???
I still have one year to go in high school
But then.... what?
Try to pass one big test next year that will control my life?
Try to take test here but dunno if it will be useful or not?
How if I'm accepted but doesn't have finance with?
How if I get to college not in the major I want?
The worst of all, how if I don't get into any college?
The others said... college edu gives u nothing
How 'bout my family & friends here?
How if they forget me?
Will I ever see them again?
Maybe... if I can get to college here
It's fine if not...maybe I'll have d chance later...
In... 5 years? 10... 20... 30...?
They said... I just can go to college in Indo

School starts: TOMORROW!

Waow, thanx a lot for those of u who have visited my blog & give suggestions! Gimme commentz for my post, too next time, OK?! Don't worry, I'm working on d design. Phew, this thing drives me crazy! U know, I can't get it out of my head... while I'm in lack of designing software in d house. So, be patient... I think I'm gonna do it at school tomorrow, with full equipments of software + tablet pc! :D Phew, I'm not supposed to think too much about this, but I'm a perfectionist... I think I almost never be satisfied with all things I've done. Not quite a good habit, but in some parts, yes... Don't understand my writings? Don't worry, tis' just a freaked out mind of me.

Btw, on Friday night, I went to Comedy Sportz, an improv game show. Pretty funny, although I still can't understand some slangs! I think that's my problem with improv, I did well on 2nd improv night at school, but I was always frozen when my opponent said something in slang that I dunno, huhuhu... Anyone wanna help me with this? I wanna be in Comedy Sportz at school in April! Speaking about school play, I did an audition for d musical play in my school: West Side Story. I don't really hope for it, coz although I think I'm OK in dance & monologue part, my voice is horrible! Well, just try out... who knows? Results will come out on Tuesday, if I'm not in it... I think I'm just gonna do crew...

And also water polo! We're gonna have conditioning starting this Tuesday. Hmm, I'm OK with weight practise, but not for running! My legs are soooo bad, that's why I choose to be a swimmer, coz I can't run at all! Speaking about sports, I watched Chicago Bulls game live in United Center, Chicago! Awesome, watch NBA game live in suite! And free, coz we got free tickets...!!! Waow, although I'm not a big basketball fan, it's amazing!

Hey, It's snowing a lot outside! They've told it b4, actually. Well, I was quite disappointed when I woke up at 7 and didn't see a lot of snow. Then I went back to sleep, but at around 9, I heard my host bro, Parker said something about snow. Yeahhh, It's snowing a lot since this morning until now!!! Hope will be more than 2 inches (5cm), coz that's the thickest we've got this winter. And people said, "It's not snowing yet, Ella!" Well, I wanna make a snowman!. We haven't got a lot of snow for it yet. Enough for snowballs, but not for snowman... Snow... snow... snow... come here, please! :D

Oh yeah, I'll go back to school tomorrow. Nooo!!! I'm getting lazy here. Let's see: In Indonesia, if I get up at 9 am, it would be considered late, but here... It's early! Hmm, hard to think that I'm gonna wake up at 7 tomorrow and not going to sleep again after my prayer. And I don't think I've done a lot of things during this break. Let me review my daily activities during d break: Got up at 10 in average, working out a little bit sometimes, breakfast, sitting in front of d comp for hours of chatting/designing, going out with my friends or family (I should go somewhere everyday), talking on d phone, dinner then playing board games/watching movies at home in d evening... and sleep. I think that's all I've done... Waddayathin'? Hmm, I haven't worked on my physics project for more, since we were stuck for Gandalf & Balrog's terminal velocity, but after I asked Parker, Brian has to read his 250 pages book. Planning to try by myself since couple days ago, but of course... break laziness win over my curious mind :P OK, I think that's enough for 1 entry. Don't forget to put comments about my posts! :)

Changes for new year (Have u had 'em?)

First of all, I wanna tell u that I'm gonna write this blog in a different way with my previous one. I won't just write my personal life, but also something that I got for myself from those experiences. I'm really inspired by my Indonesian AFS friends to make a blog like this. They always write how their experiences can make their life better. And by writing it, they also share with another people. So, more people will have a better life :) Well, I'm just trying to do that... So, put all ur thoughts & comments at the comment or tagboard, OK?!

BTW, I think I haven't posted in my blog about my birthday, christmas & new year, right? I had dinner with my friends at the exact day of my birthday: something that I almost never do, since in Jakarta we don't have our break on that day. Yeah, they took me to an Italian restaurant, and give me presents. Thanx a lot! And Ryan also paid for them all, without telling me how much! Hey, It's my birthday, not yours! Crazy Ryan, you're too generous to everybody! :D And they also have all the chefs singing happy birthday for me, with music from kitchen appliances such as serving spoons, pans, bowls, etc. Hahaha, FUN! We also had a new year party together in Ryan's house: Chinese food, Indonesian noodle & Thai curry for dinner and of course MOVIES (3, not 1)! Haha, Office Space is like our life in the next few years, computer guys! Hope not so messed up like that :P I really love my friends, we hang out together, and even do school projects! Well, I'm just wondering how I have friends those care for me right now. With who I can talk, laugh, play, cry, together... I still remember my first months here, how I felt so lonely without friends... But now I have! I know I'm just gonna be here for one year, but I hope our friendship will last forever...

I also spent much time with my family in this break. Parker, John & my grandma stayed in our house and we did many things together. I'm really a part of my host family now! They also took me to a birthday dinner on d next evening. And Christmas is also fun! Yeah, coz I don't celebrate Christmas in Indonesia, since it's not a part of my religion. But here, Christmas is also a cultural thing. And I think, being together with family is always a part of holidays in all religions. So, I really feel like they're my natural family... Also makes me think how I wasn't really close with my family in Jakarta. I felt a moment when I thought my family was perfect, but not anymore. But I remember a quote from the movie "Now and Then": There're no perfect families. Well, I just think about that when sometimes I think other families are better, bcoz... our family is the best for us :)

fAmiLy & fRi3nDs

I love my family & friends, they always support me. In Indonesia, I live with my mom & my sister, Ditta. She's 13 years old now. In USA, I live with my mom, dad & my brother, Milo. Actually I have 2 other brothers, John & Parker, but they go to college & don't live with the family.
My friends are important parts of my life, too. I always miss my friends in SMUN 8 Jakarta-my school, especially 2i & TX (doesn't mean I don't miss the others. I luv u all! :) and other AFS exchange students from all over Indonesia. Anyway, I have fun making friends here. I'm really close with the girls in swim team. They always have fun things to do. And also my friends in International Club, Computer Club, Drama Club, Amnesty International & Scholastic Bowl. Well, I enjoy hanging out with them, making more friends & learning more things :)
